Addi – The Nestman Family

relentless detroit addi nestmanHi, my name is Tracy and my husband is Ron. We both grew up downriver. Ron from Gibraltar and myself from Woodhaven. We’ve been married for 16 years and currently live in Wyandotte.

We were blessed with three wonderful children, Emily (15) Andrew (12) and our special gift, Addisyn Brooke (3). Our Addisyn (Addi) was chosen as a Relentless 2014 kid! We are so thankful and honored that our girl was chosen.

Addisyn was born full term in July 2010, 7 lbs 15 oz. Immediately she was transferred from Wyandotte to Henry Ford main NICU where she spent her first 5 weeks. They discovered Addisyn was born with a blood clot in her rt femoral artery, low muscle tone, pulmonary stenosis , hearing and visual issues.

After we brought her home Addi struggled with numerous issues of RSV, in result she had her upper left lobe (lung) removed at 3 months.

Since then our first two years we spent in and out of the hospital. We were admitted every month for the first two years, ranging from a three day to three week stay. We are now treated at UOFM MOTT where Addi receives all her care.

We don’t have a diagnosis yet. We’ve been searching and waiting on test results to come back.

Addisyn has:

Cortical blindness
Auditory neuropathy (hearing loss)
Low muscle tone (floppy like a newborn)
Respiratory issues
Cognitive delay
Microcephalic (small brain)
Apnea
Seizures

Addisyn is on a very strict diet and schedule each day that help us keep her well. She is on about 5 different machines.

We’ve almost lost our girl many of times but BECAUSE OUR GOD IS BIGGER, we have her today!

Addisyn is our little ray of sunshine and truly our blessing from above.
We feel SO VERY BLESSED that God chose us, HE Felt we were worthy enough to care for his special gift.

Once again we want to THANK YOU all from the bottom of our hearts for Caring and loving our family!!
